Outer Boroughs

While in New York City working on the Ben & Jerry’s Core Tour, I was back and forth to Brooklyn on almost a daily basis. One of my favorite little neighborhoods I grew to love was DUMBO (down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass). With great spots to like Ample Hills Creamery to Jane’s Carousel to channel your inner child, and design shops like Stewart/Stand Design Store, there’s a little something for everyone.

Whenever I head across the East River, casual is the name of the game — meaning  denim shorts and bright colors! I snagged this chunky, yellow sweater on sale, which has turned out to be one of my go to knits this summer. To add a touch of Manhattan, I completed the outfit with crisp, black accessories that give the look a little bit of edge. This Givency tote holds everything I need for work from my MacBook Air to my DSLR camera, meaning it’s fashionable and funcitonal. Does it get much better?

No matter how fun the trips to Brooklyn are, I’m always happy to head back over the bridge. At the end of the day, Manhattan will always be my happy place. ❤

  1. Hey Regan,

Great post – and nice shades ; )

I recently relocated to Spain and was wondering if you had any tips, insight, etc on things I should definitely experience.

I’m living in San Sebastian in the Basque country right over the French border.

    take care,

    Toney xx
